Seta de zurcir de roble inglés torneada a mano
Un hermoso hongo para zurcir de madera con una parte superior ligeramente abovedada. Torneado a mano en el Reino Unido por un artesano experimentado que utiliza roble inglés local.
Adecuado para:
- zurcir cualquier prenda de vestir, incluidos los guantes (simplemente empuje el vástago en los dedos)
- remendar agujeros, rasgaduras, roscar zonas desnudas y disimular una mancha!
- cualquier tejido o ropa, excepto los tejidos técnicos / para exteriores que se indiquen como impermeables o resistentes al agua (en este caso, utilice la cinta adhesiva o tatuajes McNett Tenacious Repair).
Cada hongo se termina con cera y luego con un pulimento, para crear una superficie lisa y uniforme.
Se suministra con un eco elástico de 20 cm de longitud para sujetar la tela al hongo de zurcir. Nuestro eco elástico está fabricado en Austria con algodón orgánico certificado y caucho natural sostenible. Es biodegradable y reciclable y se fabrica bajo las reglas del comercio justo.

¡Consejo! Si sueles zurcir calcetines, es posible que desee invertir en un huevo de zurcir. Un huevo no tiene asa y es un poco más pequeño, por lo que es más fácil zurcir el área del talón y la puntera de los calcetines. ¡Haga clic aquí!
History of the Darning Mushroom
This darning tool was an essential item in 19th and early 20th century household as self-reliant women often had to make and repair all their clothing. They were commonly made using wood as it was widely availiable and not too expensive, but following the invention of early plastic many were made using Bakelite.
They made it much easier to stitch a repair: not too tight and not too slack. The top part of the mushroom was placed behind the hole to hold the darning area taut for working. Its 'stalk' with the rest of the fabric around it, was held in one hand and the darning needle was worked with the other hand.
There are various types besides the basic darning mushroom. A darning egg (for socks and tights), and a darning stick (for gloves). Some are made with detachable handles so you can store a few needles and a small amount of thread which is easily to hand an emergency!
