Variegated Merino Blend Darning Yarn (2-Ply) - Baltic Sea
The 'Baltic Sea' colorway from our merino blend darning yarn range includes a mix of blue tones with the occassional pop of vibrant green. The longer colour repeat makes it simple to create more of a gradient style effect when tackling larger mends on fine knitwear
A super fine, 2-ply yarn which can be used for mending very fine knitwear or doubled up if you require a slightly thicker yarn.
This luxury yarn is spun and dyed in Italy - it's actually leftover surplus yarn from the textile production process and without being rescued it's likely it would end being wasted and sent to landfill.
90 % merino wool and 10% nylon - it has a similar fibre composition to a classic darning wool or mending yarn, which are often a mix of wool and polyester/nylon. The addition of nylon creates a yarn that's a little more hard-wearing than a pure wool yarn, making it ideal for repairing socks, cuffs and armpit areas that take more wear and tear.
Each card contains approximately 10 m (33 ft) of yarn.
The spacing between each colour change/repeat is inconsistent and varies between 1.2 metres and 2.5 metres (approx). However, one of the colour 'sections' has a very short colour change repeat of 3-4cm which alternates between white and dark pink.
Please Note: Every effort has been taken to ensure these photos are an accurate representation of the colours, but since every computer monitor and mobile device is different, we cannot guarantee the colour will be an exact match to what you see online.
